Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Philippines Barter Exchange platform (“Platform”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Platform Does
Philippines Barter Marketplace is a service provider that offers tools to publish listings, discover offers/demands, and communicate with other users. We do not act as an intermediary, broker, agent, or escrow. Any barter or exchange happens directly between users.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Listings and Content
You are responsible for the content you post (titles, descriptions, photos, pricing references, and location). You agree not to post illegal, misleading, or infringing content. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms or our policies.
4. Barter Transactions (User-to-User)
Users negotiate and complete exchanges at their own risk. We do not verify listings, guarantee availability, quality, or legality of goods/services, or guarantee that an exchange will be completed. You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws and for any taxes or fees.
5. Safety and Prohibited Use
Do not use the Platform for unlawful activities, harassment, scams, or to trade prohibited items. Use caution when meeting in person and consider meeting in public places.
6. Fees, Subscriptions, and Advertising
The Platform may offer both free and paid plans. Monetization may include monthly subscriptions and advertising for free accounts. Paid features, pricing, and billing terms (including renewals and cancellations) will be shown at the point of purchase or in your account settings.
Premium Access via Promotion Barter. The Platform may, at its discretion, offer temporary access to a paid subscription plan (other than Free) in exchange for user-made promotional content (“Promotion Barter”).
To qualify, you must publish at least one promotional post about Philippines Barter Marketplace on at least one social media platform (TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook) using your own account (personal or business). The promotional content must clearly reference or present the Platform and must be publicly accessible at the time of review and until your Premium plan expires. Otherwise your Premium plan might be canceled.
Submission and verification are required. After posting, you must submit the direct links to your promotional content (e.g., reels/posts or the page where the promotion appears) while logged into your Platform account via Settings → Subscriptions. Only submissions made through this section will be reviewed. Premium access will be granted only after successful verification by the Platform.
Premium access granted through Promotion Barter is non-transferable, non-refundable, cannot be converted to cash or credits, and may be revoked if the promotional content is removed or found to violate these Terms, Platform policies, or applicable law. The Platform reserves the right to approve or reject submissions, and to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Promotion Barter program at any time.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from user content or transactions between users.
8. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts or remove content when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, or comply with legal obligations.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
